Training in Lucan

On Saturday, some DUO members had the lucky chance to receive some
one on one training with Coach Andrew Cox whilst attending a
Come and Try it Event, hosted by 3ROC orienteering club in Griffeen Valley Park.

Well done to Fiona and Ciara, our beginners who both finished in very quick
times to finish 11th and 4th  on the short course respectively! Well done girls!

Also well done to committee members Jana who came 12th on the short course and
Rebecca Ní Chonchubhair who finished 25th on the long course.

Cliona conquers CROC

The Connacht Championships were held in Strandhill, Sligo on November 16th and whilst not attended by many DUO members, it was still pretty successful!

DUO member Cliona McCullough had an outstanding run, beating rival Roisin Long
from UCDO by over 9 minutes in the W20 category.

Laura Cox, DUO Webmaster, also had a solid run to finish 2nd in W21S, whilst DUO Coach and Alumni Andrew Cox was second in M40L.

Friend to DUO, Daniel Kelly, also won the M21N in a quick time of 35 minutes.
